Help Bricked

Got bricked. After recent upgrade to 4.3, then rooted, then upgraded to custom 4.4.1.
The only thing I can do is; get to Download Mode.....and that is pretty much it. Nothing else from that point.
How do I get into recovery mode?? Vol/up-home-power combination does NOT work! Screen shows "Samsung Galaxy Note II" , no matter how long i keep those buttons pressed. Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat. I can't go into recovery and flashing the stock firmware doesn't work either.

Just un-zip, and install this 4.3param_tz.zip | by AngryManMLS for Galaxy Note 2 in ODIN 3.07

Finally, it worked for me!!!!
