Help Broken text/font

I have Asian music on my Galaxy Nexus but the characters are coming out broken for many songs. I can't seem to fix it and I've tried many things. I heard that there could be something wrong with the tag on the mp3. Can someone help?

is it all the songs...
are you using any special launchers or text's
can you give us a screen shot?

It's only specific songs and I used a downloadable music player PowerAMP that allows me to edit titles and artists to change it so I can't provide a screenshot.

However, I'm planning on rooting my phone (cause I can't wait any longer for this stupid update to come out) and I'll have to re-upload all my music causing broken text. I'm hoping to maybe eliminate the problem at its source so I don't have to edit the titles of 100+ songs. (It took me a lot time...)
