OK, so I've downloaded opera mobile web browser. I have to say that in speed, it definitely comes out on top of the stock browser. However I think its because of a setting that I can't change -.-
It seems with any flash content on opera, I have to press a button to enable it, which I assume makes the page load faster, I have tried to find a setting on the stock browser just because it looks more polished than opera, and if I could get the speed up it'd be great.

Try Opera Mini rather than Opera Mobile.

I use Mini on my TF and WM handset and haven't experienced the problem you've described on either device.

And fwiw, I also agree that Opera is fast. Certainly faster than Dolphin HD even though I actually prefer it for a few sites. (eg www.tvcatchup.com for watching UK freeview channels)
