While browsing, I often like to open a linked page in a new window, so do this via long pressing the link. However, it seems to me to be totally random whether long pressing a link brings up the context menu (which is what I usually want), or goes into text selection mode.

How do you control over which of these two actions occurs when long pressing a link?

If you are selecting a link to open in a new window, you have to make sure your finger is perfectly still. If you move it even the slightest bit, it will enable the copy and paste feature. This happens more so when you are trying to select a link that is very tiny (zoomed out far). Advice would be to keep a steadier thumb or zoom in more.

Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i believe this is how it works. I find it frustrating too.
