Is the any way to adjust the stock browser to open more than 4 windows at once? If not, will rooting give us that ability?

try a different browser, there's dolphinHD and skyfire 2.0, 1 of them will let you open 7...

I have Skyfire but find that the stock browser works more smoothly. I figure four browser windows is enough and helps conserve memory.

Is dolphin any good? Why do you use it?

Sure, I might drop Skyfire or Dolphin, but is there definitely no way to do it with the stock browser?

By the way, opera mini seems allows a very high number of tabs. I like that ability.

I do love the ability of stock to open new windows in the background, which opera mini does not. Does Skyfire or Dolphin allow that?

Ya what gives never had this pop up before froyo! I could keep going and going without a problem.
