Is there a button root for frg83d yet? I want to root but I don't have a computer so I need a one click solution like universal androot or something similar. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Nope. And sorry for the mispost I'm on frg83g. So there is no way to root this without a pc yet then? I really want to root and I know that button rooting is the safest way. I'm really not trying to brick my phone and have to pay 89 dolllars to get another.

There are currently no button root apps that I have heard of or know of for the Droid 1. Z4Root does not work on our phones.

The rageagainstthecage exploit is fairly easy to use if you read up on it, but you need to have a computer to utilize it. The best place to read up on it is in this forum in the Sticky at the top of the list.

Public library, maybe? Local electronics store with demo computers? :)
