I live in Ireland. I want to know if I buy a wifi only Xoom 2 media edition in the uk will it work when I bring it back to Ireland. I know the device itself will work but I was wondering about the services. I know these might be stupid questions:)
    1. Is the uk android market any different to the Irish android market?
    2. Would I have a problem buying paid apps(would all the prices be in pounds and would i need an English credit card to purchase them)
    3. Would I be able to get the ICS update without any trouble(official updates...no apk's)
    4. Would the google account have to be an Irish google account??
    5. Can I share my htc wildfire's 3G connection with the tablet?
    Thanks in advance!!!;)

This is an international forum, and its the holidays so you can't really expect people to be around.

There would be no problem regarding all your questions.

    1. There are several apps would country limitations. The device would detect what country you are in via one of several methods it has and the only difference would be that apps that aren't allowed in Ireland for download would not be seen in the Market app.

    2. Again, the tablet would detect what country you are in, and show the prices accordingly to the currency as far as I know. Credit cards would not be a problem as well. We are all accessing the same Market wherever we are in the world.

    3. The updates would be based in the country of buying. If you buy it in UK, it will get an update officially when the UK gets the update. It wont matter if everybody else in Ireland got the update, you won't get it unless UK gets it.

    4. Yes you can, via hotspot tether.

Depends which country you're intending to buy the tablet from? You're apparently in Ireland, so if you buy it in another EU country you'll be fine. I certainly do NOT recommend buying it China though.
