Okay I have been searching the forums trying not post something that has been posted a hundred times already, and I can't find an answer. I did find one other post (that I replied to) that was only marginally helpful, because it told me to try everything I've already tried and didn't work. I also contacted Motorola, who told me that the phone shouldn't be doing that so there is no problem. Which was really helpful... Here is the problem and what I am trying to do: I have a Droid X. I want to use the calendar, but I do not want it to automatically publish everything to Google calendar. Basically, I don't want it to sync to anything. I've tried unchecking the boxes, I've tried telling it not to sync, and it always reverts back to syncing within a week or so, and everything is back online. The information I store on my phone is confidential and I cannot have it published to the internet. A few of the forum posts have mentioned that there is a "private, unsyncable" calendar with the phone, but I don't see that option on mine. When I go to the calendar list, I only see the one associated with my email (the google calendar), and the US holidays one. I also can't seem to find a place to add a new calendar? I'm very frustrated. I switched to this from a Blackberry, and while this device is far (FAR) superior to that, this calendar business is almost a deal breaker for me. If I can't use it for my business, it sort of defeats the purpose of having it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!! And I apologize in advance if this is something that has already been addressed elsewhere.
