Call Blocking App

Hi, I am new to smartphones.

I have Moto E 1st Generation Android version 4.4.4.

I have read several reviews but still confused - what is the easiest to use, free app that blocks unwanted calls / texts.....?
Some suggested Mr.Number, but many complained about it also.
