Call log - can it extend

I have a Samsung s2 phone. I am looking for evidence of a call I made about 8 months ago from my phone. I have looked in the call log and have noticed that the log only goes back to 2nd August this year - that's 4 months ago. Is it possible to extend the call log to go back to april this year?

Assuming it is set to show all in the log settings it does that. If it's not there for earlier dates you have probably reset the phone or deleted the logs when cleaning up. I don't think you can get them back.

Depending on the severity of this situation: The phone company has "logs" going back years, and will produce them with a court order. If it's that serious, look into that path. (Court orders can be gotten for civil cases, as well as criminal cases.)
