Is there a way to restrict calls to only those people in my contact list?
Not sure about that exactly but you do have the option to send certain contact's calls straight to voice mail. The option can be selected in each person's contact information.
I'm actually looking for an easy (no cost) way to restrict calls from "private" callers - callers who have blocked their caller ID. I have a perv calling me all the time and verizon wants me to pay 4.99 to block them. Since I hardly use my cell for anything other than family calls, I'm fine just blocking calls to only those in my contact list. I used to be able to do this on my old Motorola flip...can't find any sort of call actions on the dInc.
Ugh, that's annoying. I can't believe *you* have to pay to block this guy. Sometimes I think the wireless industry lags behind traditional phone service. Have you searched the market for an app that may do this?
yes, it's annoying to me as well that verizon won't help. ggrrr....
apps are a good idea. I'll take a peek.
Click on SETTINGS, CALL SETTINGS, CALL RESTRICTIONS and then INCOMING. Lastly choice ALLOW CONTACTS. That should restrict all of your incoming call from the people in your contact list only.
