Help Calling Problems when calling or receiving from my S3

Hello,

Could anybody please advise

I am having issues when I try to call or receive someone. Basically people are saying they either cant hear my voice or it sounds very distant so struggle to hear me. I have restarted the phone, played with sound settings and even factory reset the phone but still no joy.

Sometimes when I restart it works fine for a minute or 2 but then goes back to the same problem again

If anybody could help as its becoming a real frustration

How is your reception/signal strength? (under settings->(more)->about device->status)?

How long have you had the phone? Has it happen just recently? Your provider?

I have S3 on Virgin Mobile (in NYC). What I noticed is that on occasions, my signal is not strong with 4g LTE. So I force it to go CDMA 3G only (setting->(connection)->more networks->mobile network->network mode"). Once I force it into 3G, the signals become strong and any voice problem I have go away.

Try also update your system prl/profile.

Try turn off (in call settings) "Noise reduction".

See if any of these help.

If all fails, and if your phone is under warranty, see if you can swap another one.

Have you checked with your carrier?
