2 month old EVO 4G here. Last week or so, I've been having issues with it running sluggish/slow.
Biggest example is the camera. When I click the app, it takes 10 seconds to open. When I focus on a picture and click the shutter - it takes 10 seconds to capture the picture! I've tried turning off all the auto focus, face detection stuff - but can't fix it.
I've tried rebooting too. Not a hard reset - yet.
I've also noticed delays or sluggishness when scowling between pages of apps, entering passwords etc.
Phone has been great for 2 months and now starting to bug me...
    thanks

Have you updated to Gingerbread yet? You running any live wallpapers? What apps do you have on your Phone?

No Gingerbread yet. Still 2.2 here. No moving/active wallpapers and only a couple widgets. I uninstalled about 10 apps just now and it seems to be working a little better. I'll keep playing with it. Thanks in advance.

If the camera is acting sluggish go into applications for the camera app, clear the cache, and Force stop. Then reboot the phone. I suggest you update to Gingerbread after.

OK, since I deleted about 10 apps earlier - everything is great now.
Wish I could remember what I deleted now.... I know Angry Birds Rio, 250+ solitaire and some other free games were on that list.

I'll report back if this problem surfaces again. Probably try Gingerbread too.

If phone acts up its always crappy apps and live wallpaper causing the problem. You have to pay attention to the OS after you install certain apps. Phone acts up, uninstall the app.
