Camera Bevel/Glass Replacement

I have looked through threads talking about replacing the Red camera bevel and or glass but nothing that explains how to remove the old bevel...

I would like to be able to do it with out popping the "Void" Label on the bottom left screw as i have only had my phone for 2 days but the glass that covers the camera lens broke today. I was going to go into Best Buy and see if they will swap the phone out but i have a feeling they will blow me off.

If i order one of the replacement bevels i have a few questions, does anyone know if they come with the glass in them and can they be taken off and installed with out having to void the warranty.

Easy to take off. It is just 2 way taped on. Just gently use your nail and pry it off little by little. I ordered a bevel off ebay from hong kong, but it did not come with the glass. I just wanted an extra. Just be careful and it should be easy. Also, make sure you take off the battery cover first.

I can send you one. I've got an old phone that I dropped into the Gulf of Mexico. Do you have a PO box or something? PM me and I'll mail it to you free of charge.

Mine is collecting dust underneath. So all you have to do is pry it off "carefully"? What would work to get it to stick back on?

I had this as well. I ended up doing a warranty but Verizon gave me a bunch of crap about it. The second phone I had it still did it, which is weird since I keep my phone perfect. Anyways, you can pop it off and I just stuck mine back on.. the sticky tape stuff kinda came off a bit but it still held.

Looks like load97 doesn't want it... if you PM me an address I can put one into an envelope for you. I've got a phone for parts and won't have my incredible much longer so I'm not too worried about needing it.

Hey! I noticed you were trying to give away a glass cover and nobody has responded. If you still have it and want to give it away, I would gladly take it. Mine cracked about a month after I got the phone (2 days after the Incredible was released) and haven't had any luck finding a replacement. Thanks!

Hey, how did that eBay lens work out. I'm nervous about buying stuff from Hong Kong.
Looks like just what I need though.

Thank you!

So I just got my lens today. (It may have arrived a while ago but I don't check my mail much when I'm at college.) I haven't put it on yet, and I truthfully don't think it's made by htc, but it looks damn close anyways. It comes with the sticky back and the only potential problem I see is that the black ring supporting the glass isn't centered. I'll post again after I actually put it in my phone.

I also took some pictures that I can post if someone explains how haha.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, but I've been busy with college. I finally installed the lens I got from eBay and it's great. Looks just like the original and even has the same adhesive that the original was attached with.
