Camera doesn't respect no-auto-rotate setting

When I take a series of photos with my camera pointing directly downwards, they end up with fairly random orientations due to being on the auto-rotate threshold, which I want to avoid.

The camera app doesn't seem to respect the device-wide no-auto-rotate setting, nor does it seem to provide its own no-auto-rotate setting. I'm using Android 7.0 with all updates.

    Any advice?

Go into device settings and recallibrate your gyroscope. It shouldn't be rotating if you have autorotate off anyways, but at least maybe that will help it rotate at the proper times.

Thanks for the reply! There are no gyroscope options in my settings. I tried downloading an app that says it will recalibrate the gyro, but this didn't seem to have any effect either. Any other suggestions?
