Help Camera flash goes off when new messages come in

When my galaxy s3 updated to v4.3, the text messages started displaying in a bold box on my home screen, which I don't like but can live with (unless there is an easy fix). But the camera flash goes off when there is a text message, a phone call, and randomly when emails come in. I have opened my device, accessibility, and unchecked flash notification. Any other ideas how to make this stop?

Did you check then uncheck it? Try rebooting after it mate
