I have read that Android phones support the image formats of (.JPEG, .GIF and .PNG). I was wondering if this was also true for the camera?. For example, I would like to use the settings in the camera to select .PNG before I take a picture so that my picture comes out as "mygreatphoto.png" rather than everything being in a default .JPEG format.

Is there an "app for that"?. I've looked all over and can find nothing except "image resizers". Nor am I able to find any setting in the camera for this.

    Thanks!

.JPG only, I'm afraid. The others aren't supported by any digital camera afaik.
