I picked up my Evo around noon today and damned if the lens isn't already scratched. I don't know when it happened, it's just been sitting here beside me on a wood desk... wtf?!

    Suggestions for camera lens protection?

Get a hard case from Seidio, it recesses the camera lens

Any case will do, as long as it leaves a gap so that the lens won't rest on surfaces, stupid design IMO.
I plan on getting the silicone gel case.

Does the hard cases make hitting the power button too difficult. I think i read a complaint somewhere about that problem. I am so used to turning my Hero on with double pressing menu. It may take time to get used to the top power button only.

Even the gel cases from the Sprint store elevate it a bit so the camera isnt laying right in a surface.

a poster on the incredible(which shares the same lens, and glass lens cover) forum mentioned that the glass cover is pretty easily removable. Hopefully someone makes an aftermarket replacement for this, or at least a lens cover protector
