camera on phone doesnt open or work

[Android Question]

I just brought a new htc desire 300 and have had for not even a month and the camera and video doesn't work or let me play videos from any sites ( youtube or facebook) has only recently happened, there are no apps or anything to mess it up except snapchat or instergram
please help
