Is there an app that allows using the Volume + button on the top left of the DInc to take pics? Since there isn't a button to take pics besides touching screen or op pad this would help me a lot. If that doesnt exist how do i submit app ideas?

Just tap and hold on the screen to focus on that spot and take a picture.

Once rooted, we will be able to re-map keys like you suggest. Until then, just tap the screen :)

my "tap the screen" is more like press and hold and pray.

Same for me. I had a success rate of about 5% when I just tried in the last few minutes. Is there a trick to this? I couldn't figure out what "touch pattern" I used to initiate the shutter.

From what I read in another thread, you have to wait for the square to turn green before you touch and hold.

Ok, this is working for me. I touched once to get the green grid box, then held down and it takes a picture. Does feel like i can hold the phone/camera steadier this way than pressing the joystick. There is quite a long delay between pressing the screen and the shutter though, so be prepared.

I find it works every time, but i often have to hold it there for a bit. I still find this produces the best pictures.

I'm tired of missing a good shot because I didn't have the right combination of taps and holds on the screen. Until we can re-map the keys, I'm just gonna use the button.
