Is there a way to have some sort of steady option when taking a photo? I sometimes take a picture and my horrible steady hands make the picture a blur sometimes. If I concentrate and stay real still then the pics come out fine. I see there is an option for it when I'm taking movies but not for still shots. Thanks for your help.

I believe not. You do have "Video Stabilization" but, it is grayed out when selector is set to camera. It is for video only.

Find this under settings (the sprocket icon) when you touch the 3 vertical lines to bring out the options menu.

Are you sure that image stabilization works with the Maxx.. I'm doubtful.

I've used it... waits for a period of stability before taking the shot. It also gives you feedback on how steady you are holding it... It is in the Market...

I've had the same issues with stability.

Not to jack this thread, but is there a way to add a date stamp to the photos like the dinc could?

When I need a steady shot and have no time to lock the green box on target, I just switch to the Sports mode.
