    Hi there

Does anyone know of a way to tether an ipad to an Android phone without rooting it first?

If you are trying to use your data connection from your phone with your iPad, the only way to do it without rooting is to sign up for the tethering plan with your provider.

Yep, you can just pay your provider whatever they charge to tether. Or root. Thats the only two ways.

Thanks. I called Verizon. The good news is that you can pay for it month to month and there is no subscription. Its $20 and its the 3G Mobile Hotspot....Probably will do this. Need to be able to use ipad on the road for our vacation.

Just keep in mind, That 20 dollars is JUST for the ability to tether. Whatever data you use while tethering goes toward your monthly allowance. So if you dont have an unlimited plan, be careful.

Thanks. Actually, that is not quite true. The $20 for 3G Mobile Hotpot includes 2 Gig of Data
