Can anyone give me any honest anser about when Alltel turns into Verizon?

Today I heard from an Alltel rep that it could be another year and a half before they turn into Verizon. Last month, I was told it would be the end of this summer. I get the impression that the reps at my store don't know.

If Alltel becomes Verizon soon, then I'll wait. If it's going to be another 1.5 years, then I will take my business elsewhere. I want to upgrade to a better phone, but I can't do it with Alltel!

What is the truth!

They switched in my market (54660) back in Oct/Nov last year can't really remember. Where are you at?

Yeah, if you aren't VZW by now I would assume you are divested and may never be VZW unless something is still being worked out legally.
