I use commas alot and hate having to press an Alt key or whatever. This is true in Swype, Android, Samsung, and even the BetterKeyboard app I installed.

Any way to customize the keyboards in the Captivate?

You may find one in the market, but I haven't seen one.

If you move the voice key from the first screen of the android keyboard, it gets replaced with the comma key. I use commas a lot too and very seldom use the voice feature, so it made me happy.

I'm confused... the comma key on the Swype keyboard doesn't require alt/sym. It's a single primary key.

There's a simple trick to add commas, periods, and question marks without tapping...Just swype from the punctuation to the space key and your punctuation will be added.
