I have an original DROID. I rooted it after the 2.2 update and all is fine. About 2 days ago I got an announcement that an system update was available and so I said go ahead. It rebooted into the boot screen with "reboot now" highlighted and the long dialog below culminating the "update.zip was blocked".

Anyway, I just rebooted and all was good. So yesterday the same thing. I instead went down to the update selection and selected it. I forget (was on the road) what the ensuing dialog was, but I didn't feel good about it so I backed out and rebooted.

My question is: can I do future system updates now that I am rooted? Or if I do then do I need to re-root all over? I mean I'm not sure what was in this update and if I even want it, but I will have this phone for another year so I would like to know my options.

    Thank you,
    Jim
