Root Can I get official 2.3 update if I rooted?

    I'm not 100% sure about this but this is what I believe. Rooted you can get the update. If you have flashed a rom you cannot. You can always use your nandroid backup to flash the original rom back to your phone and receive the update.

    There will likely be a 100% working rom before VM kicks one out, and if VM does come first, it won't take long for the community to follow with theirs.

    Alright guys, I think I will leave my phone just rooted so I can get the official 2.3

    To be honest aosps 2.3 rom already feels better than the stock 2.2. Aside from MMS not working and issues with the gps I haven't noticed any issues with it.

    They tend to eat batteries and tethering requires an app.

    Nothing major, but an issue for some.
