If you do you'll lose your root, not sure if it'll brick though.

I am too, going on about 15 minutes now. Has anyone successfully got the update to take with unrevoked 3 ?

The triangle means its not updating. I already removed the battery and started it back up. It will try to ask you to update again and will do the same thing. You will not brick your phone. Just remove the battery and power it back it. We need to find a way to uninstall the unrevoked 3 first. I'm working on it now. If anyone comes up with a solution, please post it here.

I've the same issue as well. I'm thinking about just backing up all my apps, reverting to a stock ROM, then installing from there. Would this be a good solution you think?

Hold the volume button up and tap the power button at that screen. That may bring up a system recovery menu.

I tried that (holding the power button and volume up).

How long do you have to hold the buttons?

Does recovery allow me to install 2.2?

I just pulled the battery and it's at 2.1 and waiting for the 2.2 install.

Unrevoked3 installs a recovery console, installing the old RUU will definetely get rid of that. It will also wipe all your data.

If anyone tries the above, i would like to see how that works, the shipped RUU can be found here if anyone needs it.

it doesnt have 1.47 though for some reason. if anyone has that link it would be nice.

for the "unofficial" 2.2 update i just renamed it to...
    update.zip
or just update, depends on if you're computer is set to show file extension names.

update.zip didnt work for me, so i rebooted, and just changed the file to update and worked fine.
