Root Can I just flash the ROM zip file with CWM if I want to change to a rom based on a diff modem?

I just used Zombu2's guide to put CM9 on my Boost Galaxy S II.

It is a battery hog. I want to change to Calkulin's E4GT Rom.

Currently my baseband is S710.10 S.FI03 with kernel 3.0.15-CM-g0b1455c.

Can I just flash the Calkulin zip with the recovery that came with CM9? It says it is based of of EL29.

ROM and modem are handled separately on this phone. If you flash a ROM in CWM you will not affect the modem, the same holds true if you change modems it does not affect the ROM.

I believe the only way to flash both at the same time is through ODIN and it will be a .tar file not a .zip
