Can I tell when mine will be shipped?

Just ordered yesterday, but wonder if there's a number to call or website to see when it will actually ship. Some people seem to be receiving earlier than VZW says, so I was just wondering since I'm very excited about a new toy!

nah there's no way of knowing when it will ship. you'll just get an email eventually, but generally phones have been shipping prior to promised dates by 3 or 4 days.

I ordered my Droid X from Verizon on 07/15, received it 07/16.

Considering they bumped back the "ship by date" from 8/3 to 8/11, and you just put in an order yesterday, I'd say you'll be waiting at least a week or more.

Obviously it depends when your local shipping facility gets its stock in, but with the X selling like hotcakes, it might take longer than you may want.

Yeah it's crazy. As of today they have been bumped to 8/18! When I ordered on 7/26 the site showed 8/3. No notification yet I still got a few more days lol

Holy hell they did! This whole situation is slowly becoming the Incredible fiasco all over again...

Man, I guess I should be happy I received my original order the day after the X was released, and my replacement earlier this week.

Which site are you all checking for ship dates?

just go to the verizon wireless site and then at the top go to phones > smartphones. I then sort by Android and Droid X is 2nd on that list. The red bubble on the picture will tell you

Thanks. I suppose you do not know the actual ship date until someone sends you an email. Still hoping for them to beat the estimate - anticipation is eating me up

I ordered my X yesterday as well, it said 8/11. I'm hoping and praying for a quick ship in 2-3 days. We'll see what happens.

I never received the email notification for shipping info, so I phoned 611 to inquire...they told me it is on the truck for delivery today! What a nice surprise

That equates to an a 7/30 order date at a corp store and a delivery date of 8/4.

where are you located? I also ordered from a local shop (in Chicago) on 7/30...no email yet, but I'd love for this to show up.

Did yours happen to come from the Dalton, GA shipping center? I ordered in store on Monday and mine is supposed to come from the Dalton shipping center. Perhaps I should call and check on my shipment. FedEx runs notoriously late here.

Mine was sent from Ft. Worth, TX. I'd call if I were you. Had it not been for calling, I would not have known it was in transit and asked my wife to stay home to sign for it
