Root Can I update to radio 7.07 if I'm on froyo still?

I'm trying different ROMs, mostly GB, and I wondered if I go back to froyo, will the updated radio work(haven't installed it 7.07 yet)? I may restore a nandroid backup of my 2.2 cause I don't like the current Rom I'm trying. Dunno if I would flash radio then try another Rom, but I don't know if that would brick anything. I have found a zip of my 2.15 current radio if the new one didn't work.

Yes, unlike some phones, you CAN use any radio with any rom.

Just be careful flashing radios, double check the md5 or you could be caught with a brick.
