Can infuse GPS work without WiFi or Dataplan

Hi All,
I just got a Samsung Infuse 4G. I do not have any dataplan.

Can my Infuse phone GPS work without WiFi or any data plans?
If yes, please let me know the settings to enable it.

Right now my phone just shows Searching for locations if i dont have WiFi or dataplan and am trying to start google maps (Navigation application) .

You can, but google maps will not work. It needs the data plan to download the images. If you can find a nav application that has the images already downloaded (idk if there are any) then you will be in luck.
