No, it doesn't work on mine. I have the newest of each app too.

edit: Nevermind, it works. I was thinking of the Messages app. It doesnt update with a counter like Gmail Notifier does. That's the last feature I want this app to have then it will be perfect!

Are any of you guys having issues with LP? I'm hesitant to try it due to recent negative comments in the market. Thanks.

Haha, if that were the case, I wouldn't have installed any app on my phone. It seems like, with the exception of gStrings guitar tuner, every app I've installed has slews of negative comments. I think Jesus made gStrings or something.

Well its one thing if there are one or two negative comments, but when you see a bunch, I'm kinda hesitant to pull the trigger. Guess I just like to avoid issues if at all possible.

No major problems, it's still not fully done it's in Beta still I believe but I have gotten a couple force close which are no big deal basically abour 10seconds where I can't use the phone. And once I had the screen get stuck on just my background for about 15seconds before the program loaded.
Other then those real minor hicups , it's much better then Sense or Vanilla android. I love it and think the phones should just come with it, plus it gets updated it seems almost weekly and each time it gets better and address problems. Give it a month and I bet it's running perfect.

OK, I feel really stupid asking this but I did a search and found nothing. Do you guys turn off or somehow uninstall SenseUI to use this? If so, can you please tell me how or point me to a link/post that explains it? This seems really awesome, I just don't understand how it works with or w/o Sense.

    Thanks in advance!

When you install LP, you press the "home" button on your phone. It will then bring up both Sense and LP as options and you can choose what you want to run. You don't uninstall Sense, just choose not to use it.

Thanks a lot Jim. I may check it out in a few weeks since its gets updated often. It sounds (and looks) like a really neat program.

If that doesn't work then to clear the button default of HTC Sense by going to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/HTC Sense and select Clear Defaults. This will allow you to select whats one to use when you select the home button.

I forgot to mention that I don't use Gmail, I use an Exchange server so I use the regular mail app.

I mean 50% of the comments for Handcent say things like "deleted all my text messages again!" or "so slow!" or "doesn't work UNINSTALL!"

But I've never had a single glitch with it, it loads my 4,000+ thread instantly, and it's never deleted my texts.

Well ask yourself this: how many of your apps have you reviewed? Any of them? If you're like me, you've reviewed a very small percentage of your apps, and that's how most people are. But they WILL review an app if it doesn't work, so that leaves us with a disproportionate sampling.

Can we request the dev - Federico ? - to allow unread counts in the dock bar? I'd love Handcent and the phone icon to show unread/missed counts.

This is really nice. I would love a WORKING favorite (contact) widget but I use the extra bottom spaces instead. It Fcs too much right now but I like it otherwise. I only use 3 screens, which is nice!

This seems as though it is just Sense with a dock, am I wrong?

This seems absolutely pointless to me. I have yet to even fill 4 of my home screens and I only actually use 2 of them.

I agree, it would be great to be able to place widgets in the bottom bar.

Yeah tell me about it. You should take a look at all the 1 star comments on the Subsonic page that are from idiots who thought it would magically work without setting up the software on the host side.

    It's laughable.

it might of been the apps because it's running perfectly fine now.
I like it the only thing I wish was a way to change the icons which I'm sure there is I just haven't fully grasped it yet. Also are there any more docks that we can download?
This phone is becoming more like my PC each and every day, now only if I could run Steam I'd throw my computer away
