It used to be simple to add a script to just about anything in the computing world.
Local vs cloud-based Android email apps typically lack any spam filtering.
It seems trivial to allow the user to move undesirable email addresses to a Blacklist,
then use a script to test incoming emails against that file & if found move them to the
Spam folder rather than the Inbox.
Anyone know if this can be done & if it's unusually difficult in the Android world?
The app I have in mind is AquaMail.
    Thanks!

Some can be accomplished with Tasker. There is a Tasker sib-forum to the forum you posted this in.

For security the manipulation of one app by another is curtailed. (If you can do it for good reasons some idiot can do it for bad reasons.)

In Tasker some of what you would like to do will require your device to be root-ed to bypass this protection.
