I have tried using FoxFi to make this phone act as a WiFi hotspot. I encountered errors. Has anyone found a way to do WiFi hospotting with it?

I gather that TracFone does not want this phone used in this way.

You are correct...I got an email direct from Tracfone when I asked this question on another forum.

Also not possible without rooting and as you can note from this forum, root has not been achieved (yet).

Finally, my 3G speed is so pathetic, it can hardly drive my limited phone data needs let alone share with any other device.

I've had success sharing simple web access (i.e. browsers but no Play Store or in-app data) from my phone to my tablet using a pair of apps called ScreenShare. There's one app of phones and another for tablets. I don't believe there is any version for actual computers, and it does only do web traffic, unfortunately.
