Anybody have any idea if we can grab the camera driver from froyo of Galaxy S and use it in GAOSP?
well, I'm sure I heard some similar question on drakaz site, so I'm guessing no
because the sensor chip that Galaxy uses is m4mo
so it's all about the chipset
but for those who want some info on the camera, they have the preview running. still a looong way to go, so be patient folks
Thanks Lelouch! I hope the "looong way"" is shorter than the life cycle of my phone...!!
Leukel is trying his hands
The problem is as exactly told - Different Chip
Leukel asked for drivers from Samsung but they declined
I know it can take long.... but it will surely be done..Have patience
Had it not been for Drakaz and other developers .... Just imagine we cud have been stuck on 1.5/1.6
So.. Do you know the name and manufacturer of chips, than we can try to find it from the manufacturer?
Yes its a Fujitsu CHIP
For more details read the thread here
For more details on the Chip read post no 29-30 ... It has a pdf for the chip version
I found that Samsung i8320 may have the same camera as i7500 and it uses limo, so I think it may have the source of camera driver, I am trying to get it from some limo forum.
Grt ... maybe you can post about it in the above forum
That place is more active on the camera stuff
Nopy in AOSP almost solve the camera problem, let's wait for one more night..
I think it will take more then one night.
So let's give nopy time and peace of mind to make the camera work
p.s.: give him support and thanks people Nopy's android stuff
