If you see how an HTC One m8 looks like, the glass actually bulges outward, there's no bezel securing it. The glass on mine has a long hairline crack going from one end to the other, I was wondering if I could replace the glass without disassembling the phone, i.e. I just heat it up with a hairdryer and remove the glass using some dental floss. This seems like the only way since this particular phone is impossible to disassemble without breaking it.

The "glass" and the digitizer are a one piece assembly. So no, you can't just replace the glass without replacing the entire display.

No they're not. They can be seperated. Many videos show examples.

More specifically, no you cannot just replace the glass unless you take apart your phone, and actually it is possible to disassemble it without breaking it. Those questions were actually answered if you would take the time to read through that link, which is something you should do before you do anything to familiarize yourself with the actual procedure.

OK so you're going to buy a display assembly, go through the process of separating the LCD from the glass digitizer, and then what are you going to do at that point? You could just replace the display assembly and save time, and money since you'll need one to cannibalize and one to actually fix your phone.
