Can you Take off the Number of Texts in Messages Since the Update

Since the update I have the number of texts next to the person's name. Is there a way to remove it?

This question is the reason I just signed up here. I do not like this update and any help in how to remove this count would be great!

Doubt it, besides maybe a root. I just minimized the amount of texts stored so it wasn't a ridiculous number (in the 300s!)

Yea I have over that many per person for a handful of people... But I don't want to delete my texts. I just want to have it so it doesn't look like I am a text-whore.

This made me giggle, mine are in the 1000's. I would also like to know if this is possible...I'm gonna go fiddle with my Handcent settings.
