Support Can you tether via USB and NOT charge the phone?

    My laptop's battery drained even faster because it was charging the DInc. Prefer USB tethering for the speed (was getting 2.3 Mb/s yesterday) - seem to recall bluetooth tethering is slower, no? TIA!

    No. possibly if you used a powered usb hub that might help, but I'm guesting not much.

    I think your right about usb being faster than bluetooth or wifi, but I really don't know for sure.

    usb and wifi are definitely faster than bluetooth. expected bt speeds are in the 400kbps range. regardless of how fast your phone is getting the data, it'll only transfer between the phone and computer at a max of 400kbps over bt.
