    Greetings

I'm an experienced java programmer interested in Android app development, but cannot seem to get the Android SDK working with Eclipse.

I was following the instructions here: Android SDK | Android Developers

On step 3 it points you to this page: ADT Plugin for Eclipse | Android Developers

That is where things became frustrating. Under "Install New Software" I was able to add https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ and was prompted to restart Eclipse just like the instructions said. But the next step (Configuring the ADT Plugin; hence the title of this thread) says

...and the Android option is simply not there. I just cannot move forward from this point.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, JDK 6 Update 20, and Eclipse for Java Developers.

I've searched relentlessly for an answer online but cannot seem to find anything. Any help is much appreciated. :)

nope, it doesn't appear for me.

EDIT: I guess the SDK is not compatible with Eclipse 3.6. I downloaded Eclipse 3.5 and things seem to be working now.
