I know the PDFs not downloading question has been asked before, but I have to try. I spent 1.5 hours with a Verizon tech and spent 1.25 hours in a Best Buy store with a Samsung representative. The rep could not get his new S7 Edge to open a PDFs file and the S5 and S6 he had failed as well, only the S4 would open the PDFs file from a County website. I download recorded docs all the time from the site with my S4, my IPad and my wife's IPhone 6. The county has made no changes, and other PDFs from other sites failed with the S7 as well. I have tried Adobe, Polaris Office, Hancom and of course, Drive. When I toggle "view attachment" I see Adobe flash and go to 100% and then a page comes up and says "error, the document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF document." The doc does appear in my document folder on my sad card, but it cannot be opened here either. I have emailed this file to my computer and it will not download it as well. Some is getting corrupted in the download process I assume, any takers? Ray

Have you tried other document apps from the play store?

Disable Google Drive on the phone. With that disabled, Google Drive will not attempt to open the PDF file as an attachment via data stream. Instead it will download the file into your phone so it will be readable by PDF readers. Took me a while to figure this one out actually.

Hmm. Try ezPDF, Foxit and Xodo reader. Those three are the ones I normally use and so far haven't encountered a file that can't be opened on at least one of those. Actually, haven't found one that ezPDF can't open, but I can't remember if they have a free version.

I honestly have no idea anymore on why they aren't opening for you. Foxit is supposedly using the same codes as they use on Foxit for PC.
