When I run the batch file it just hangs and does nothing.

Is there a manual way to put the recovery image on the phone or is this the only method?

Not sure of your setup, but make sure you have the Toast method of rooting on your phone. Then go into recovery mode "ADB reboot Recovery"

Once in recovery mode, you can run that batch command to get into the special screen.

Open up command prompt as administrator and run it from there.

I think I didn't achieve root when I ran the update zip in step one of toast's method.
The reason I think this is because I am only able to run the wifi tether if I run unrevoked.
I will try to reroot via toast later and see if it takes this time.
FYI I am running XP for this.
