Message received 'The device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulated. Moving app to SD function cannot be supported on this device'.

What does this mean and can it be overcome?

It means that the app was written to store to primary storage, not to external storage - and these days, primary storage is internal. Poorly thought out app.

It also means that you['re trying to store apps to a place designed to store data - external storage. Not all apps can run from external storage. Of those that can, not all of the app can be moved - some of it has to be left in internal storage, where the phone expects to find it.
