I have searched and cannot seem to find an answer. I cannot see the icons on the top of my home screen (like battery level, notifications, etc.) because that part of my background wallpaper is light colored. My last phone these icons had a black background (black strip accross the top of home screen ) so I could see the icons. Can anyone tell me if I can do this on this phone?
    Samsung S7.
    Thanks.

    Yes.
You can try installing a different launcher that will shade the top a darker color.
Nova launcher in the play store....

You can also edit the picture and add a black line on top. I agree there should be a normal way to do it
