    Hi folks,

I have installed the newest MoDaCo Custom Rom 3.1 on my Hero. Yesterday, I started wifi tether to get online. It worked very well for about five hours, but then . . . Hero crashed . . . it was switched off and since then I cannot do anything with the Hero . . . not even switch it on . . .

I tried to take off the battery, SIM card and SD card, but the problem is still present.

Could somebody tell me what to do to get my Hero alive again?

    Thank you very much.

Leave it on charge for some time, I recall reading a post saying that tethering uses more power than the USB port can provide.
Hope it's not something worse... I'm running MCR 3.1 without any issue.

Try charging the battery again but from the mains.
I had a Simula problem last week when i left my phone plugged into the PC all day.
Just before i went to bed the phone showed that the battery was fully charged.

In the morning my phone would not start up i tried everything to make it work and not for one moment did i think it would be the battery.
As a last resort i plugged the phone into the mains charger only to find that the battery was totally flat.

I'm hoping that is all that is wrong with your phone.

well its been some hours and we haven't heard from the OP.

    So is it.
1 He has fixed the problem and all is now working fine.

2 None of the above worked and he now has a expensive paper weight.
