Cannot update Mescape app!

I am using an LG Optimus V that is stock and un-rooted with android 2.2. I have a very hard time to update the app and constantly get download cannot be completed at this time or similar types of errors.

I can update other medical apps like epocrates just fine, but medscape gives me these problems. Sometimes if i reinstall the app I will have the newest version but is there a way to fix the updating?
