Help can't access external drive in mac network

I want to access a lacie external drive that is usb connected with a time capsule from apple.
Creating the server in es file explorer for the time capsule with its ip address works ok.
In es explorer I now see the icons for the drive of the time capsule and also the lacie drive.
Only I can only access the time capsule drivescontent. Clicking the lacie drive gives login errors. And funny it used to work a couple of times in the past.
Setting up a separate server for the lacie cannot be done i think as it is usb linked with the same ip address as the time cap.
I don't know what to do from here.

The Lacie might have a stand-by mode for power saving and ES might not be able to access the drive if it isn't spinning.

Don't think so. I played a song file on the lacie from the macbook so that it spins.
But at the mean time tried to access from tablet, no success. Thanks for the reply
