Basically what I am trying to do is access ringtones and notifications located at /system/media/audio/. I wish to add ringtones and notification tones to the applicable locations on the stock VV5 filesystem.

I have rooted with Connect The Dots, however I was unable to edit the filesystem via Android Commander or ES File Explorer. I re-rooted again, to be sure it wasnt a faulty root or something, but that didnt allow me access.

I do have root, as pretty much every application that requires root seems to work as it should. It's just just Android Commander and ES File Explorer not being able to edit. Also, Android Commander in the corner says if phone is rooted or not when connected, and tells me I am not rooted, even though I am...

Any ideas on what is happening, and what I can do? And what I might be missing here?

Have you tried "Root Explorer"? Also, make sure you select "Mount R/W" when you use Root Explorer...

the new ES File Explorer has a "hidden" R/W option, I had to look for it for awhile to mount my /root directory.
