Can't access SD card

This morning I started seeing errors about the SD card not being available. I checked under setting and sure enough it wasn't available. It worked perfectly yesterday. The first thing I thought of was that the card went bad since I bought a 16GB one off eBay. So I shut down and replaced the SD card with the 8GB one it came with. No change. The phone just doesn't recognize an SD card anymore.

Anyone else seen this? Not even sure what to do now.

Try the 8GB in a multi card reader first. If still unreadable, format it and try again. Note that of course formatting removes all data from the card.

Not a fan of generic SD cards, so can't suggest anything for that.

This has been happening to me since last night as well. It unmounts and then remounts in read only status.

Update on this. After switching back and forth between stock card and the 16GB one, I had given up. To be clear, this is not the case of not being readable by the PC. The phone stop recognizing it. I figured I was off to get a replacement.

An hour later I checked the phone and it worked again. I was in the car and playing music off the card so all seemed good. I got home and looked again and realized it was not recognizable again.

Right now it is reading it again so I am backing up the data to the PC and then formatting the card. I will report back after that and let everyone know whether it helps.
