Can't believe I just noticed this. Battery life.

The official 2.2 Froyo update for the Captivate worked miracles for my battery life. Before the update, most complaints on this forum were about atrocious battery times.

I remember on Eclair, I would never even truthfully get one full day on 100% charge. After having Froyo for the past few months I'm just now realizing I can get like a day and a half on 100% charge easy.

Has anyone elses' battery experiences significantly changed?

I stopped agonizing over battery life months ago. I knew I did all that was possible - within reason - to maximize its life during the day, and have simply fallen into the routine of turning off the phone and charging it when I go to sleep. I use an alarm clock rather than the phone, so that's not an issue. I don't shoot for 18 hours, 24 hours, etc. of life. As long as the juice lasts while I'm awake I'm happy...and it has.

Oh wow. Maybe its a specific model to model issue.

I thought maybe it was froyo.
