Can't connect to friends on Facebook - MapMyRun

MapMyRun let's me connect via my Facebook account but then shows I have no friends who use it that I can add. I know for a fact that this is 100% false because friends have shown me on their phones.

Nothing I do will make my Facebook friends show up as options to add in MapMyRun including disconnecting my account, adjusting my Facebook permissions or settings, or even deleting my whatsapp account and starting over.

Anyone had this problem and knows a fix?

Map my run has issues? I know personally Facebook has issues with every update...

Maybe it's a Facebook issue... I didn't really think of that, but it seems weird since it works fine with all my friends.

MapMyRun support was completely unhelpful.
